The fifth round of the 2023 AFL season has nine matches with all 18 teams playing. The round starts on Thursday 13th April with Adelaide hosting Carlton at the Adelaide Oval, with the final match St Kilda v Collingwood played on Sunday 16th April. The largest crowd is expected at the Adelaide v Carlton match. All matches are played in South Australia as part of the AFLs first “Gather Round”.

Probably the most anticipated match of the round is the Friday night Richmond v Sydney Swans match at the Adelaide Oval. Though Dogs and Port fans may be voting for their prime time Saturday night clash at the Adelaide Oval.
