The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), also known as “The ‘G”, is located in Yarra Park, Melbourne, Victoria. Run by the Melbourne Cricket Club, it is the largest stadium in the Southern Hemisphere, the 11th largest in the world, and the second largest cricket ground.

Since it was built in 1853, the MCG has had many Grandstands come and go. It was the main stadium of the 1956 Olympic Games, the 2006 Commonwealth Games and three Cricket World Cups, 50 overs in 1992 and 2015 and recently the 2022 20/20 event.

The Carlton Blues were founded in 1864 and wear the colours navy blue. The Blues training facilities are at Princess Park and home matches are played at both the MCG and Marvel Stadium.

The Collingwood Magpies were founded in 1892 and wear the colours black and white. The Magpies training facilities are at Olympic Park Oval Lakes and home matches are played at the MCG.
