While the two teams have played in a number of Grand Finals in recent years, they haven’t met in a final for a long time. Interestingly this will be second time in a row these sides have met in Round 4 at the MCG.
The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), also known as “The ‘G”, is located in Yarra Park, Melbourne, Victoria. Run by the Melbourne Cricket Club, it is the largest stadium in the Southern Hemisphere, the 11th largest in the world, and the second largest cricket ground.
Since it was built in 1853, the MCG has had many Grandstands come and go. It was the main stadium of the 1956 Olympic Games, the 2006 Commonwealth Games and three Cricket World Cups, 50 overs in 1992 and 2015 and recently the 2022 20/20 event.
The AFL Fixture is subject to change without notice. All times listed are local time.
The ball’s in no-man’s land and the loose man’s come from everywhere.
