The sixth round of the 2023 AFL season has nine matches with all 18 teams playing. The round starts on Friday 21st April with Fremantle hosting the Western Bulldogs at Optus Stadium, with the final match Collingwood v Essendon played on Tuesday 25th April. The largest crowd is expected at the Collingwood v Essendon match. The ANZAC Round includes matches played in 6 states and the ACT.

Probably the most anticipated match of the round is the Saturday night Geelong v Sydney Swans match at GMHBA Stadium, after last years Grand Final. Though Demons and Tigers fans may be voting for their prime time Monday night ANZAC Day Eve clash at the MCG.
